Abstract painting with a template
Have you been wanting to start painting but don't know where to start or what to paint? Sometimes picking up a paint brush can be intimidating and may seem like you can't narrow down a concrete idea.
When this happens to me, I like to just start. When I start painting and mixing colors, more ideas seem to come to me more naturally. That's why I created this tutorial.
Creativity is like a muscle, in order to strengthen its ability we have to use it. I used the Draw Tool on Rapid Resizer to create a simple template to paint with. I created a series of circles with the circle draw tool and sized it accordingly to fit my canvas.
This is a fun and simple painting exercise that you can try on your own or with a group of friends. Everyone interprets things differently. We all have a unique style and creativity energy to bring to the table (or the canvas). This is a great way to start painting or try a new painting style.
What you'll need:
- a canvas of any size
- a simple template or shape
- acrylic paint
- brushes
You don't have to know what you're doing
