Stamped Gift Wrap

Want to add a personal touch to your gifts this holiday season? Customize your wrapping paper with this fun and easy holiday craft. Potatoes make excellent stamps. They are easy to carve and are cheap and easy to find! 

What you'll need:

• a potato
• an Xacto knife
• a stencil of your choice
• craft paper
• paint (I used acrylic paint with white glitter)

How to: 

Tape your stencil to your potato that has been halved. Cut along the lines of your design. Remove the stencil to reveal the subtle outlines underneath. Carefully cut around your design removing the negative space. You will want the design on the potato to be about 1/4 of an inch more raised than the rest of the potato. 

Spread your paint in a thin layer, dip your potato and stamp away!
